fun fact of the night:

every semester during recruitment i have an unnecessary existential crisis about joining a sorority

edit for clarification: i go to a really small school and some of the nicest and most enjoyable people i know are part of greek life. yes, some sorority rituals annoy my skull off, but so do bonding rituals for my job and even for music groups, etc. it always sounds nice to be a part of a community. but a community with antiquated gender norms written into their constitution (i.e. ” Section F.  No men shall be present at sorority recruitment events or play any part in sorority recruitment, including bid day activities”) really fucks with my identity. am i the queer duck in the henhouse? plus, all this aside, membership fees are something i can’t afford without scholarships.

tl;dr? being an undergrad is weird and social groups taunt me.
